However, the day my wife returned from surgery the chair lasted about 6 hours (this was just the 2nd day of use). One of the two power leads going into the motor broke off (the red wire in the picture) from inside the electrical motor. We had an electrician who lives across the street from us and he said it appears to have been soldered in somewhere inside the motor mount and the solder broke. The casing is not itself openable so he couldn''t get at it to fix it. Unless the Amazon return at Whole Foods down the block can take it and ship it, I don''t think we''ll be able to get it anywhere for our money back.
